樑，对一个建筑来说，代表天一样的，天为顶。古人云：“上樑犹如人之加冠”，佛教上樑仪式就是籍着隆重的仪式，期昐建筑坚实如金刚城，寺院香火旺盛，福佑人天。
代代栋梁，光前裕后，建寺护寺，法炬耀人间，法水广流传。诚邀您一起来护持！

A pillar gathers the power of everyone's vow
Good karma from all directions to form the pillar of society
Sugata Dharma Vihara of Dharma Light Monastery will hold a beam of raising ceremony, and we sincerely invite you to offer donations for Copper Plate Scriptures or Silk Cloth Scriptures. During the ceremony, the Scriptures will be laid into the Beam, symbolize the formality of raising the Beam, the spinning of the Dharma wheel, and eternity of Buddha Dharma and the supreme offerings to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Beam for a building, it is same as with the sky as the top. As the old saying “ To raise up a beam is similar to crowning a person.” The beam raising ceremony in Buddhism symbolizes the building will be blessed as solid as a diamond city, flourishing with incense and blissfulness for all beings.
For many generations of talents will bring honor to the ancestors for safeguarding the Triple Gems. Let’s complete this noble task together.
